Ravenous
This is the first print of an edition of 25. A4 size, 200gsm qulity mixed media Canson paper. Printed using a press. Its meaning is directed towards the energy and vibrancy which comes with my current study on birds. My aim is to show that there is beauty and freedom to be learnt from these creatures. For the raven in particular, I wanted to depict its similarities to the Baroque period and that though it comes off as dark and deathly, there is still a beauty in it.
Below is transferring the drawing and making sure it is reversed for printing.
Below is the process of carving my image out and eventually doing a test print before cleaning it up.
